9-1-1 needs to be added as an option for the Emeregency contact numbers. This is basically a universal accepted number in the United States in most areas of the country.

Our philosophy is inline with yours since every parent teaches their children at a very early age about 911.
What do you feel is missing or should be added regarding 911 that isn't already universally known?

Since our area uses 9-1-1 it should be listed as an option when running an address. The numbers listed for the local fire/ems companies that I tested were non emergency numbers that may have gone to an unmanned Fire / EMS station.

Anyone so unprepared as to not have validated the emergency services information, prior to needing to use it, shouldn't be the responsible supervisor of any project. We also have a disclaimer on our docs that is incumbent on someone doing so prior to commencing work efforts.

Our feeling is that 911 is a bit of a no-brainer in this day and age and adults don't really need to be told how to use it, or need to go find a document to look the number up.

The field on our emergency contact form for "Do Cell Phones Work at Site" is intended to be an alert to suggest that provisions be made to have a plan in hand to be able to make a 911 call should service not be available at the location.
