Do not take a side bet the line is okay

    Foam coaxial cable and especially air dielectric transmission lines, should not be shipped with the reel lying on its side. Manufacturers have helped to educate common carriers to that requirement, but on occasion, you will receive the reel in that condition. If there is any damage to the reel itself, refuse delivery; but if it is on its side and you accept it – although most times, it will not damage the cable – you are taking a chance since you are not going to get the manufacturer's customer service that you would receive from a surplus material reseller.
