Pressured by the need to meet his company's assigned project hours, a foreman will often commit to a will call pour with additional drilling or formwork requiring completion. Sometimes the harried crew pulls through, beaming at their accomplishment as the concrete trucks roll in. But oftentimes an equipment failure can delay the pour for an hour, requiring the owner's inspector to reject the concrete when there is no longer a workable mix.
