Now the National Association Of Tower Erectors has a new safety standard that they want us to follow that opens itself to new tower training requirement courses. Didn't they work with NC to get their standard going? Why have another one? Which standard are we supposed to follow? I would assume that if I'm in NC It would be best to follow their OSHA rules if you don't want to be fined. Don't get me wrong. If you don't tie you die and you can never be to safe. Now there's talk of a nationwide OSHA standard. Now the new engineering standard for towers has a safety standard for where we're supposed to tie off. It is interesting to note that nothing is standard about all the new tower safety standards. Or...perhaps there is more money in writing standards these days then doing antenna changeouts.
