California PUC commissioner to keynote CalWA's quarterly luncheon June 5
May 16, 2007 - The California Wireless Association's first quarterly luncheon meeting is scheduled for June 5 at the San Ramon Marriott, 2600 Bishop Drive, San Ramon. California Wireless AssociationThe organization is especially excited to announce that Commissioner Timothy Alan Simon of the California Public Utilities Commission will be the luncheon's keynote speaker.

Commissioner Simon was appointed to the CPUC by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on February 15, 2007. Commissioner Simon previously served as the first African American appointments secretary in the Office of the Governor. In that position, he was responsible for gubernatorial appointments to more than 300 boards and commissions and approximately 200 exempt positions.

Prior to the being with the governor's office, Commissioner Simon served as general counsel and chief compliance officer for Global Crown Capital, LLC. He was responsible for development and implementation of legal and compliance polices for the investment firm.

Registration for the event will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the luncheon will begin promptly at12:00 noon. Advance reservations are being accepted to avoid waiting in registration lines at the door and to guarantee your admittance to the event. The ticket price of $65.00 includes a three course lunch and free parking. It is requested that you register by Tuesday, May 29 to guarantee a luncheon reservation. After this date, CalWA cannot promise that you will be able to order a lunch selection.
