The National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE) announced that it is offering a new Technology membership category. The Association made the announcement at the 2017 International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) in Las Vegas, Nev. this week.

The NATE Technology membership category is classified for any company whose primary source of revenue is derived from the manufacturing, sales, design and use of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and related software, 5G wireless systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities, mobile devices, cloud computing, software, big data analytics, wearables and other emerging innovations.

Dues for the new Technology membership category are based on gross annual revenue. Companies earning gross annual revenue greater than or equal to $10 million will pay $3,000 annually in dues and companies earning gross annual revenue less than $10 million will pay $1,500 annually in dues.

“NATE is excited to offer this dynamic new membership category as technological advancements continue to transform the industry at a breakneck pace,” said Executive Director Todd Schlekeway. “NATE represents companies involved at all levels of the wireless ecosystem and the addition of the Technology membership category will allow us to continue to add innovative companies to the Association as the wireless networks, products and services of the future become a reality,” added Schlekeway.

“The establishment of the NATE Technology membership category is the logical next step for the Association to take,” stated Member Services Committee Chairwoman Jordyn Miller from MillerCo, Inc. in Gulfport, Mississippi. “Through the addition of the Technology membership category, the Association is making a firm commitment to ensure that companies in the emerging wireless technology space know there is a home for them at NATE that can help support their respective businesses,” Miller said.
