Rigid Galvanized Conduit
Pipe size is always described and ordered in terms of its inside diameter. Therefore, a 1” rigid galvanized pipe has a 1” diameter. This is the “nominal” size; it is not meant to be exact.
Electrical conduit is hot-dipped galvanized inside and out and it is typically top-coated with a compatible organic layer to inhibit white rust and increase corrosion resistance.
You should identify whether the specified conduits on the plans will accommodate the power source required. See the conduit fill table below.
 The default pricing below (under 200') for the rigid galvanized conduit includes a coupling and is what the contractor should expect to pay to a distributor. Pricing is adjusted for longer runs. It does not include taxes and freight. Round up to the nearest 10 feet when entering your total length. The pricing is an average of multiple suppliers and may be higher or lower in some markets.
