NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association and member companies Ericsson, MILLERCO, and SBA Communications Corporation today facilitated an opportunity for Congressman Neal Dunn, M.D. to conduct a communications tower site visit in the 2nd Congressional District of Florida.

During the visit, Congressman Dunn toured an SBA Communications Corporation tower site and compound in Panama City, Florida with event participants and heard directly from representatives of NATE, Ericsson, MILLERCO, and SBA Communications Corporation regarding the vital wireless infrastructure solutions and services they deploy to support wireless networks in Florida, throughout the United States and in markets around the world.

Congressman Dunn was also able to speak with event participants about the industry’s workforce development initiatives, training and safety protocols and legislative and regulatory priorities.

Additionally, the event also provided an invaluable forum for Congressman Dunn to discuss his legislative priorities given that he serves on the House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology which has extensive jurisdiction over many of the issues impacting the industry.

Jimmy Miller (NATE/MILLERCO), Bill Holick (Ericsson), Jody Brooks (Ericsson), Chanceton Ippolito (Ericsson), and David Sams (SBA Communications Corporation) served as the primary on-site hosts at the event.

“It was an honor to host Congressman Dunn today at the Panama City tower site,” stated Bill Holick, Director, Site Acquisition Practice at Ericsson. “These wireless site visits are outstanding ‘show and tell’ opportunities that serve to educate influential lawmakers about the role that the industry’s technicians, contractors, OEMs, and vertical real-estate companies perform daily to enable connectivity. Thank you to NATE for partnering with us on this important outreach and to Congressman Dunn for his ongoing support for our industry’s priorities,” added Holick.
