CMC Pro, a rope and fall-protection hardware leader, has issued an immediate Product Inspection Notice for its CMC CLUTCH™ by Harken™ units. A single 11 mm CLUTCH with a loose rivet pin was discovered in the field, prompting CMC and Harken to extend the inspection to all 11 mm and 13 mm units manufactured between November 19, 2024, and April 10, 2025.

Why Inspect?
A single CLUTCH unit was shipped with a loose rivet pin, which could compromise device performance and user safety under load. Although only one instance has been confirmed, CMC and Harken are taking a precautionary approach, requesting that every unit in the affected batch undergo a quick field inspection before use.
