NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association today unveiled a commemoration declaring, May 7, 2025 as Tower Technician Appreciation Day. For the 8th consecutive year, a day has been set aside by NATE and the industry to pay tribute to the vital work that communications infrastructure technicians conduct daily to enable a connected world.

NATE.Senator.Deb.FisherTower Technician Appreciation Day coincides with the 2025 NATE Member Congressional Fly-In Event taking place today on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The Association encourages member companies and industry stakeholders to use Wednesday, May 7, as a day of commemoration to host recognition events within their respective organizations to pay tribute to the technicians they employ.

“I would like to personally extend my gratitude to the men and women working on the front lines of deployment in Nebraska and around the country in advance of the 2025 Tower Technician Appreciation Day,” said U.S. Senator Deb Fischer. “As a member of the U.S. Senate’s Commerce, Science, & Transportation Committee, we frequently work on policies related to commercial spectrum access, rural broadband deployment, streamlining permitting, etc. It is the technician workforce, however, that conducts the tough, gritty work and transforms those policies into connectivity,” added Fischer, who was recently honored with the 2025 NATE Legislative Champion of the Year award.

“Now, more than ever, America’s skilled and safe tower technicians are called upon to provide next generation connectivity to keep the nation’s wireless, broadband, and broadcast networks and related infrastructure secure and operating around the clock,” said NATE Chairman Victor Drouin, President and Co-Founder of Green Mountain Communications in Pembroke, New Hampshire. “NATE is honored to proclaim Wednesday, May 7, 2025, as Tower Technician Appreciation Day. I encourage all companies in the industry to set aside time this day, as a platform to recognize our industry’s most precious resource, our technicians,” added Drouin.
