Blakeslee named President as Tower Family Foundation sets 2026 leadership team

The Tower Family Foundation has announced that Board of Directors’ members Kenny Blakeslee, Patrick Murphy, and Mark Muzzana were appointed by their peers to serve on the non-profit organization’s Executive Committee for the 2026 term.

Kenny Blakeslee, Founder and CEO of Apex Site Solutions in Elk Gove, California, was appointed to serve as President of the Board of Directors; Patrick Murphy, CEO and Owner of Murphy Tower Service, LLC in Carlisle, Iowa, was appointed to serve as Vice President; and Mark Muzzana, Founder of STG Communication Services in Columbiana, Ohio was appointed to serve as Secretary/Treasurer.

Blakeslee, who previously served in the role of Vice President, replaces departing Board of Directors President Jim Tracy. Tracy was the inaugural Tower Family Foundation President and served on the Foundation’s Board of Directors as President from 2014 to 2020 and from 2021 to 2026.

“Under Jim Tracy’s leadership, the Tower Family Foundation reached new levels of impact and credibility. His vision, empathy, and commitment to doing what’s right have shaped the organization in profound ways. While we will miss his steady presence as Board President, his influence will continue to guide our work for years to come,” emphasized Blakeslee.

He added, “I am honored to step into the role of President and build on the incredible foundation Jim established. His leadership and dedication have set a high standard, and I am excited to work alongside the Board to advance our mission.”

Since its inception, the Tower Family Foundation has awarded over $3.4 million in donations and scholarships to eligible tower workers and their families. Outside of his professional endeavors, Kenny finds fulfillment in his role as a devoted family man. He resides in Northern California with his wife, Brooke, and their two sons, Boston and Colton, cherishing the moments spent together amidst the beauty of the region.


PATRICK MURPHY founded Murphy Tower Service, LLC along with siblings Clyde Murphy and Lin (Murphy) Sheehey in 2004 after working in their father’s construction company, Murphy Construction, Inc. Pat is currently the CEO with 19 years of experience in the telecom industry, doubling as a tower climber in his first 10 years.

Prior to working in telecom, Pat worked in pharmaceutical research and development for 12 years at the University of Iowa’s Pharmaceutical Service Division where he was the Quality Control Laboratory Manager, leading a group of chemists performing contract R&D for pharmaceutical companies from all over the world, including U.S. government agencies such as National Institutes of Health (NIH) & National Cancer Institute (NCI). Pat earned his BS in 1991 and his MBA in 2001, both from the University of Iowa.

Pat has served as the Tower Family Foundation Scholarship Committee Chairman since 2022 and previously served as Secretary/Treasurer from 2025 to 2026.

Pat and his wife Jane, who also works in the family business, just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and have three kids (two in college and one in high school). Pat likes to spend his free time with his family and also enjoys fishing, bow hunting, skiing, mountain biking, and hitting the gym.


MARK MUZZANA began his career building houses and developing land through his family’s business. After earning his degree, he spent a decade in the corporate world working for PriceWaterhouseCoopers and IBM, gaining valuable perspective and developing the ability to collaborate effectively with large companies and diverse stakeholders.

Since 2006, Mark has owned and operated STG Communication Services. He later expanded the organization by acquiring STG Electric Services and launching Advanced Underground Solutions, a civil construction company. Together, these businesses operate as the STG Family of Companies and employ nearly 200 people.

Mark has been deeply involved in advancing telecom industry standards and safety, serving for many years on various NATE Committees, and participating in multiple NATE Fly-In events to advocate for the industry. He remains active in state-level wireless trade associations, including cofounding the Tough Tower Foundation, Inc., which promotes financial wellness and suicide prevention for telecommunications workers through tower competitions and challenges. Mark currently serves as the Tower Family Foundation Endowment Committee Chairman.

Mark and his wife, Christie, have been married for 30 years and have two children. They live in Naples, Florida, and enjoy traveling whenever possible, staying active through sports and hiking, and spending time with their family.


The Tower Family Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide financial assistance to communications infrastructure workers and their family members in the aftermath of job-related accidents or fatalities, and to fund education scholarship opportunities for eligible industry communications infrastructure workers, their family members, and dependents.
