When a large corporation moves to a new headquarters, it’s often a problem for employees who have to relocate. Still, DigitalBridge’s announcement today that it is moving its entire staff north to a new mixed-use complex is being welcomed by employees since the move to Delray Beach from its Boca Raton, FL headquarters is less than six miles further or closer.
With the move come numerous perks unavailable in its current Park of Commerce location, such as a tennis center, arts district, upscale retail shopping, and dozens of restaurants in one of the hottest South Florida entertainment areas along adjacent East Atlantic Avenue, less than a mile from the beach and a mile from I-95.
DigitalBridge signed a 79,000-square-foot office lease for a new headquarters at Pebb Capital’s mixed-use Sundy Village development, which is now under construction. The Boca Raton-based developer announced that the project will be completed in the third quarter of 2024.
DigitalBridge’s current leased corporate facility, which includes Vertical Bridge’s employees, is approximately 32,000 square feet.
“The decision to transition DigitalBridge’s headquarters to Sundy Village will be a tremendous benefit for our team to be immersed in the heart of Downtown Delray,” said Marc Ganzi, DigitalBridge CEO. “Our expanded and modernized office will provide our company with new space for innovation and enjoyment of nearby experiences, from retail to dining, that make it an ideal setting.”
DigitalBridge’s building will be LEED-certified and designed with sustainability, including rooftop solar panels. The four-story structure will boast covered walkways for employees and pedestrians alike, terraces, and a sophisticated ground-floor lobby.
Sundy Village will house 180,000 square feet of office space and 28,000 square feet of retail space. Six nearby historic homes, part of a seven-acre development and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, will be preserved.
The complex will have almost 270 underground parking spots, a parking garage, and EV charging stations. The campus will feature open-air courtyards, green spaces, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and fitness and wellness spaces.
DigitalBridge’s new office will accommodate more than 300 employees, including Vertical Bridge’s employees. Last October, Vertical Bridge secured a 38,500-square-foot lease at Sundy Village. The announcement on the developer’s web page has since been removed. It is unknown if there will be two separate leases.
