NWSA-Certification

The National Wireless Safety Alliance (NWSA) has announced the scheduling of four additional Telecommunications Tower Technician Practical Examiner Accreditation Program Workshops for 2017.

Attending this event will allow applicants to both complete their practical exam to become certified as a Telecommunications Tower Technician and to become an NWSA-accredited Practical Examiner. As a Practical Examiner, individuals will be authorized to administer practical exams to anyone seeking technician certification from NWSA. It is the best way to get directly involved with NWSA and learn about the certification programs.

The following dates are available for registering for a workshop.

June 12-16, 2017 – Eagan (Minneapolis), MN. Hosted by Vertical Limit Construction.

August 21-25, 2017 – Kansas City, MO. Hosted by Black & Veatch.

September 18-22, 2017 – Mt. Juliet (Nashville), TN. Hosted by Comstar.

October 23-27, 2017 – Cedar Park (Austin), TX. Hosted by Safety LMS.

The first two days of each workshop are dedicated to practical exam testing; the final three days will be the PEAP workshop. As a reminder, in order to be eligible for a Practical Examiner workshop, applicants  must hold certification in the categories for which they plan to be a Practical Examiner. For all workshops held in 2017, NWSA is allowing workshop attendees to complete their practical exams as part of the workshop. Each workshop host will facilitate practical testing along with NWSA Workshop Instructor Clint Cook. Once their workshop application is approved, they will be notified of the open time slots for practical testing and they can make their request at that time. Once confirmed, NWSA will provide scheduled time slots for practical testing.

However, a CBT written exam must be taken and passed prior to attending the workshop event. NWSA will allow you to submit a workshop application now, but if you do not complete your exams prior to the workshop, you will not be permitted to attend the workshop. CLICK HERE and register for your CBT exams as soon as possible.

If you are interested in participating, fill out the Workshop Application and return it to NWSA via email to PE@nws-a.org. The deadline to register for this workshop is two weeks prior to the first day of the scheduled event.

NWSA reviews all potential participants’ applications before admission to the Workshop is granted. All applications must include payment and resumes or will be considered incomplete and will not be processed. This workshop is strictly limited to eight participants. The workshops are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
