New Jersey radio technician’s condition is still unknown after his rooftop rescue

Saddle Brook, NJ police, fire, and EMS personnel were dispatched to the roof of the new $24 million Saddle Brook Municipal Complex at 55 Mayhill Street on Tuesday morning in response to a 911 call reporting an unconscious radio technician that was maintaining communications equipment there.

Saddle Brook Fire Department’s tower ladder was deployed at 10:30 a.m. to transport the victim from the roof to the ground safely.

A paramedic team from Hackensack University Medical Center also responded to the incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital by a Saddle Brook EMS ambulance.

He was employed by the two-way Motorola radio shop Regional Communications of Paramus, NJ.

The worker’s condition is unknown. Regional Communications did not respond to a request for additional information.
