Gravitec, the largest fall protection training company in North America, has shuttered its operations in Poulsbo, Washington until April 6, but that date might be extended, the company said in a statement.
Since the initial reports of the COVID-19 outbreak, Washington State-based fall protection training company Gravitec had been coordinating their efforts and strategies to protect their clients, students and employees to sustain their operations, but yesterday evening North America’s largest fall protection training company made the difficult decision to suspend their in-house training as well as temporarily suspend travel for their training and engineering staff through April 6.
However, the company readily admits that the 20-day suspension may be extended due to the ever-changing and unchartered events being thrown at the world as it attempts to contain the virus.
Gravitec said employees are still available by phone and email to answer all questions and provide information about their services as well as scheduling their training and on-site engineering service for later dates.
Located in Poulsbo, Gravitec’s expansive campus is located approximately 20 miles from Kirkland where The Life Care Center is the epicenter for the outbreak, with 13 coronavirus deaths tied to the center.
With more than 60 deaths in the state, about 100 new patients have been identified each recent day and state officials have scrambled to impose restrictions on public gatherings and slow the transmission rate, banning gatherings of more than 50 people and ordering the closure of theaters, fitness clubs and bars.
