Eric Wellman passed away Saturday, and he’ll be remembered as a kind-hearted person who carved out time for professional photography. His gallery of stunning photographs is available here.

“It is with heartbreak and profound sadness to announce that Midwest Unlimited has lost an indispensable, beloved, integral member of our work family, General Manager Eric Wellman, who passed away Saturday,” said company owner Jim Krupicka.

Wellman began working as a salesperson at Midwest Unlimited in June 2003 and quickly transitioned to vendor relations, product development, purchasing procurement to sales manager and, finally, leading the well-known distributor as its general manager. He was adept at helping customers with fall protection, safety, and rigging solutions for nearly 20 years.

Wellman was also the NATE Wireless Industry Network State Liaison for Nebraska.

Wellman was passionate about landscape and wildlife photography, the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, and animals when not in the office. He was a kind-hearted soul who enjoyed living life’s beautiful moments and capturing them on film. Some of his work can be seen here: https://www.ericwellmanphotography.com/.

Like Ansel Adams, Wellman didn’t manipulate his photos to enhance the beauty of the subject matter, he just captured what he saw.

One customer thanked him recently: “Just wanted to thank you for the courtesy and professionalism you showed me.”

“Eric, your work family, thank you for your years of courtesy and professionalism as well,” said Krupicka.

“This is a very difficult time at Midwest Unlimited as we grieve the loss of our friend and colleague. But as a team, we will keep his legacy alive by living up to his commitment to service and industry relations,” added Krupicka.

Services will be held on Friday, October 28, at 2 p.m. at the Capital City Christian Church, 7800 Holdrege Street, Lincoln, NE.
