FCC Chief to update Carolina group on AWS spectrum auction status at October 12 luncheon
September 1, 2006 - David Furth, Associate Bureau Chief/Chief Counsel of the Federal Communications Commission will be the Carolinas Wireless Association's guest speaker at the group's luncheon event to be held October 12 at the Embassy Suites in Cary, NC.

Furth has been active in creating a greater dialogue over the years regarding access issues with American Indian groups.
He is expected to provide updates on the AWS spectrum auction and its impact to the industry as well as discuss new issues and challenges facing the FCC and the wireless industry. To date, T-Mobile is the highest bidder at $4.2 billion.
