Strong attendance expected at NATE's 10th Anniversary Conference and Expo
January 26, 2005 --The National Association of Tower Erectors will celebrate its 10th anniversary during its annual conference and exhibition February 14-17, 2005 at the Wyndham Anatole in Dallas, Texas.

According to NATE Operations Coordinator Paula Nurnberg, the pre-registration for the show has been excellent and the association is hoping to top last year’s 1,200 attendees. Paula explained that the annual event’s educational sessions are now being offered in two groups, a Tower Hand Track and a Management Track so that both groups of professionals will have an opportunity to attend the educational sessions that better suit their interests.

The Tower Hand Track will educate and refresh tower hands with a wide variety of subjects they use on a daily basis. The sessions include: Engineering Basics Minus the Math, FAA Obstruction Marking Requirements, Hoists and Hydraulic Power Systems, RF Safety, and Aerial Device Safety.

Management Track sessions will assist in educating tower companies with the knowledge to comply and excel in an ever-changing industry environment. Those being presented are: The Effective Leader of the Next Generation, Leadership in Modern Day Business Organizations, NATE and OSHA Relations, DOT/CDL, and Controlling Substance Abuse.

The association has also changed the keynote/general session to be a breakfast event to be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 8:30 a.m. Previous years had the keynote session as a luncheon event. Retired Army Lieutenant General Lawson Magruder is the keynote speaker.

New exhibitors sign on

The show's exhibition will be held from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm on Wednesday and from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on Thursday. Ninety-two exhibitors will be on hand to display the latest innovations in the broadcast and telecommunications tower construction, maintenance and service industry. Manufacturers and suppliers throughout the United States and Canada will be exhibiting. Twenty-two new vendors are taking part in this year’s event.
