Ohio Wireless Association plans for March 15
kick off in Columbus at O'Shaughnessy's
March 5, 2007 - The board and founding members of the Ohio Wireless Association are inviting industry professionals to their inaugural kick-off event to be held on March 15 at O'Shaughnessy's located at 401 N. Front Street, Columbus, Ohio.
The social gathering will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; a $20 admission charge at the door will be requested to help offset the event costs. All food and beverages are included. Membership sign-ups will be taking place at this time as well.
Since the event is being held in the spirit of ol' St. Patrick, association president Kevin "O" Philip is reminding attendees to wear green and bring along their festive spirit.
The Ohio Wireless Association has been formed with assistance from the PCIA to help promote
educational awareness and networking within the wireless community.
The association will be holding quarterly meetings that will host a keynote industry speaker along with committee reports on such things as State and local legislative actions, specific challenges the industry is facing, and current developments and opportunities within the wireless community.
In addition, they will be holding several social events throughout the year that will create sponsorship opportunities including the ever popular "Ohio Wireless Open" held the first Thursday of August for the last
seven years.
The group is actively seeking sponsors to help cover costs of this event. Those companies interested can contact Todd Boyer at 919-625-5160 or e-mail him at tboyer@towerco.com .
