Product Information
Waveguide Ladder
Although there are a host of bracket support systems for transmission lines available for specific wind loading and other design requirements, these vertical coax supports are the preferred choice for supporting multiple coaxial runs. Waveguide ladders can be purchased in welded fully assembled sections or field assembled bolted sections. The most common waveguide ladders are fabricated of angle iron and have two vertical rails connected by horizontal rungs on 3’ or 4’ spacing.
The galvanized steel ladders are offered in 10’ and 20’ lengths to accommodate up to 18 runs of 1-5/8” coax. Typical ladder runs have ¾” and 7/16” holes for attachment of snap-in or butterfly hanger attachments. Some ladder assemblies come complete with mounting clips and J-Bolts for installation to angle tower braces or optional round brace clamps for installation on round tower braces. Several distributors require you to order separately the mounting clamps and clips. Rung widths vary from 12” to 36”.
The following average list pricing for waveguide ladders includes the mounting hardware, but does not include taxes or freight. Identify your distributor’s freight cost, as it can be a considerable percentage of the expenditure.
