Waveguide Boot Assemblies

Installation is relatively easy. Place the boot cushion on the transmission line and the two halves of the boot jacket on the cushion. Slide the assembly onto the port flange and add the two clamps to hold the assembly in place. Ensure that the joined ends of the cushion and the jacket are aligned with other and parallel to the long dimension of the plate. Place the boot cushion on the waveguide or cable and the two halves of the boot jacket on the cushion. Refer to Figure 4. Slide the assembly onto the flange and add the two clamps to hold the assembly in place. Make sure that the joined ends of the cushion and the jacket are aligned with each other and parallel to the long dimension of the plate. Tighten first the flange clamp and then the cushion clamp.

While on site, a budgetary average that a contractor would charge to install a waveguide boot assembly on an existing entry panel is $18.00. Pricing assumes that all transmission lines have been pulled through the entry port. Securing the lines is not included.
