The Tower Family Foundation announced today that Willie Goldman, Southeastern Regional Business Development Manager for Drake Lighting, LLC, has been appointed to serve on the Foundation’s Endowment Committee. The Tower Family Foundation made the announcement at the Connect (X) 2019 Conference that is taking place this week in Orlando, Fla.
“The Tower Family Foundation is excited to continue to expand our Endowment Committee by appointing Willie Goldman to this leadership position,” said Foundation Board of Directors member Cliff Barbieri from Albuquerque, New Mexico. “Mr. Goldman possesses over 30 years of experience working in the industry and has cultivated many meaningful relationships over that time that will serve him well in his new role on the Endowment Committee,” added Barbieri.
“I am honored to have been selected to serve on the Tower Family Foundation Endowment Committee and look forward to helping share the organization’s compelling story of providing financial assistance and scholarships to industry workers and families during times of immense need,” stated Goldman.
The Tower Family Foundation is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that provides financial assistance and scholarships to family members of a severely injured, permanently disabled, or deceased tower worker injured or killed in an accident stemming from working at heights on communication structures or other on-the-job related activities that tower workers are involved in on a daily basis.
Since its inception in 2014, the Tower Family Foundation has awarded $666,000 in donations and scholarships to eligible tower workers and their families. In 2018, Vilhauer, Raml & Snyder LP, an independent certified public accounting firm, calculated that over 97 cents of every dollar donated to the Tower Family Foundation goes directly to eligible benefactors.
