Material and Installation Information
Turndown Foundation
The turndown foundation is used to support shelters, BTS cabinets and other wireless communications equipment. Excavation, carpentry, concrete and reinforcing steel skills are required to provide a safe, as-designed installation.
Proctors and compaction tests may be required. The formwork is relatively easy and requires minimum bracing.
The default pricing is a baseline of averages throughout the country for a turndown foundation in normal soil while the contractor is performing other concrete or installation services on the site. The total includes excavation, compaction, forming materials, 6x6-W4.0xW4.0 welded wire mesh and #5 rebar EW, EF, 3000 PSI concrete and installation. The size of the foundation will influence the cubic yard pricing provided. Installing and stubbing up electrical/telco, transmission line and grounding conduit is not included and should be priced separately in the electrical/grounding portion of your estimate. Prices will vary based upon soil conditions, location and additional design requirements. Add concrete testing to your proposal, if required.
