The informative video is the third to debut as part of Volume 2 of the popular NATE Climber Connection series.
The Riding the Line video provides a detailed overview on the best practices associated with personnel hoisting at a communications tower site. The video highlights the industry resources available to tower crews and hoist operators to ensure that personnel hoisting activities are performed safely Additionally, the video includes epic aerial footage of tower technicians riding the line to their designated work section of the tower.
“The riding the line technique has demonstrated time and time again to reduce climber fatigue and susceptibility to repetitive motion injuries associated with ascending and descending towers and enables elevated workers to access their respective workstations on the tower more quickly, yet safely,” stated Aaron Paulette from Elevated Services LLC in Carrollton, Ohio. “This video is a must watch for the entire industry as it contains valuable insight into performing the practice of personnel hoisting safely,” added Paulette.
The Climber Connection Volume 2 campaign was developed by the NATE Member Services Committee in conjunction with the NATE Safety & Education Committee and is designed to provide specific resources and communicate the Association’s message directly to the industry’s elevated workforce.
